UrbanByNature Scottish hubs - Introduction to UrbanByNature

Regional hubs are a strong and central tool for networking on nature based solutions. UrbanbyNature is one such entity holding regular meetings with hubs in various regions across the globe to build capacity on nature-based solutions.

Glasgow is delighted to be hosting the Scottish hub (12:00 BST/13:00 CST), one of three European based hubs for UrbanByNature that have launched in the last year. UrbanByNature is a knowledge-sharing and capacity building programme on nature-based solutions created by ICLEI Europe. Through a series of regular “lunch & learn” webinars the hub will support the integration of nature-based solutions into both national, regional and local communities.

The first hour-long webinar will be chaired by Gillian Dick, Spatial Planning Manager at Glasgow City Council.

10 minute talks from the following:

Shreya Utkarsh, Officer, Sustainable Resources, Climate and Resilience @ ICLEI Europe - Learning with UrbanByNature: taking actions on the ground

Dr Duncan Booker, Stakeholder Manager at Glasgow City Council - Cities and Climate Leadership

Prof Jaime Toney, Director of the Centre for Sustainable Solutions - From Green Recovery Dialogues to Funding for Nature Based Solutions

There will be a Q&A following the talks.
