Supported by the CLEVER Cities project, the second UrbanByNature Latin America webinar will focus on STEP 3 / PRIORITIZE of the UrbanByNature methodology. This step is about selecting nature-based solutions that suit the local context based on identified challenges and opportunities. Participants also learn about setting basic and, if possible, also specific indicators that relate to their city’s specific needs and resources. Representing CLEVER Cities, Grace Yépez from YES Innovation will present how priorities for the NBS plan in Quito’s San Enrique de Velasco neighborhood have been set with the local community, and how the process has benefitted from CLEVER knowledge and experiences. Adding local governments’ perspectives, Gabriel Neves from Campinas, Brazil andGabriela Sánchez Sibaja from San José, Costa Rica will share how they selected their approach and indicators to keep track of their efforts’ impacts while engaging with citizens at the same time.

During the webinar, participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences and address questions to the webinar speakers:

Priorizando SbN: Formulación de metas con residentes locales y actores interesados

Apoyado por el Proyecto CLEVER Cities, el segundo seminario web UrbanByNature se centrará en el PASO 3 / PRIORIZAR de la metodología UbN, que consiste en seleccionar soluciones basadas en la naturaleza que se adapten al contexto local. Este paso consiste en seleccionar soluciones basadas en la naturaleza que se adapten al contexto local en base a retos y oportunidades previamente identificadas. basándose en los retos y oportunidades anteriormente identificados. Los participantes también aprenderán a establecer indicadores básicos y, si es posible, también específicos, relacionados con las necesidades y los recursos específicos de la ciudad.

En representación de CLEVER Cities, Grace Yépez, de YES Innovation, presentará cómo se han establecido las prioridades para el plan SBN en el barrio de San Enrique de Velasco de Quito con la comunidad local, y cómo el proceso se ha beneficiado de los conocimientos y experiencias de CLEVER. Añadiendo las perspectivas de los gobiernos locales, Gabriel Neves, de Campinas (Brasil), y Gabriela Sánchez Sibaja, de San José (Costa Rica), compartirán cómo seleccionaron el enfoque y los indicadores para hacer un seguimiento de los impactos de sus esfuerzos y, al mismo tiempo, comprometerse con los ciudadanos.
